In this piece I hoped to critique the male gaze that is still very much prevalent in modern-day art. I took two female figures from a work by a contemporary artist Fabian Perez—who portrays women in a very objectifying manner—and placed them in a scene of what could be a science fiction Pulp magazine cover, also referencing the object-like way women were portrayed in media in the 50s and 60s.
